Kitten and Show Update

Well things are very busy at our house with looking after the kittens, taking photos, finishing off the new ensuite and finishing the show season with a bang!!

Andy has taken a bunch of photos last Friday of the kittens which I will be sorting out and sending this week. I will also update the blog with any kittens we have available.

We are just now waiting for the show season to be scored and I will be announcing soon how well Akiro has done. We are so proud of what he has achieved and couldn't have asked for any more from him. He is a true star and a big cuddly teddy bear. We knew when he was only weeks old that he was special but never thought in our dreams how he would show to the world how special he is. We love you Akiro and you make us all very proud.

The photo of Akiro with his new cool bed was taken this weekend at the show. The kittens are Mojo's kittens and are currently being assessed.

Kitten Update

All kittens are doing well and mums are doing an amazing job as always. Even though we are in 8th year this year I still love watching the kittens develop and seeing their personalities grow from week to week.

I am now in the process of contacting families on the waiting list. And over the next few weeks I will post photos of any kittens we have available.

I think it's important at this point to just reiterate that we only breed responsibly and are always planning the next generation to take forward the Alexandrite Siberians breeding programme. This means that we will have pet kittens available and sometimes our plans don't always go right and litters arrive closely together. This is only possible because we have a house with plenty of space and currently more time to spend with each litter. I only ever take names on the waiting list once I know kittens are due and I only ever take 2-3 names for each litter. We have as diverse a genetic breeding programme as we can and we always check in-breeding ratios before matings occur.

The waiting list is currently suspended while I contact the families on the list. I would rather have kittens available in few weeks than anyone be disappointed. If you think you would love to be owned by an Alexandrite Siberian Kitten then please email kittens@alexandrite-siberian-kittens.co.uk and please include any preferences. Once kittens become available I can then contact you with the details and lovely photos.

Andy took these just before Easter of Mojo's babies and I think it's a great one. All of Mojo's are reserved or under assessment.

Fudge!

I know Fudge isn't a Siberian but I just wanted to share this lovely photo of him taken over Easter.

Fudge is the one who looks after Nog and the girls. Fudge is the one they all go to for a face wash!

Fudge will be 13 years old at the end of April and after losing his best friend Kahlan 4 years ago to Lymphoma we really thought we'd lose Fudge too. He really missed her. Yes our felines friends do mourn their companions we saw that first hand with Fudge. But now he has gained weight, his coat is better and his seal point mask is all back.

We all love ya Fudge xx

Pantera News!

Well we had our last planned litter arrive for Spring/Summer 2013. Pantera had 6 beautiful Siberian bundles last week. Mum and babies are doing very well. I will be updating with more news of colours when I have them. There are some lovely silvers with nice white contrasts very similar to Raphael in last years litter.

Again families on the waiting list will have first view of available kittens.

I am also looking at some software to manage email sign ups to Alexandrite Litters. I feel it will work better for me and families who are looking for an Alexandrite Siberian. I will again update the blog when I have more news.
